Sedki & Russ Engineers, Inc was established on December 18, 1978, by Nebil B. Sedki and Joseph R. Russ. In our thirty years of operation, we have completed the structural design of over six billion dollars of construction and over 9000 different projects. Presently we are producing designs for over $200, 000, 000 of construction projects per year. Sedki & Russ Engineers, Inc is experienced in every aspect of structural engineering and in every building material, such as reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, structural steel, wood, and aluminum. We have at our disposal a variety of sophisticated computer aided design programs and CAD systems, as well as the entire range of conventional design analysis and drafting capabilities. In short, we have the ability to produce comprehensive contract documents that meet the requirements of quality, budget, and time. Our experience in working on Board of Regents projects is vast and varied. We are very knowledgeable in the procedures required in preparing drawings and specifications and properly performing our duties during the construction administration phase of projects. We will staff the project with a Project Manager and a Project Engineer who, along with their production team, will produce the drawings. The Project Manager will be responsible for the project in general. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the design of the project, supervise the production of the drawings, check shop drawings, and make field inspections. By having the Project Engineer manage for the entire project, much better control and understanding of the project is achieved. Our 13 member engineering staff includes 5 registered Professional Engineers, whose combined experience represents over 170 years of engineering skill and excellence. For efficiency, our organization is divided into design teams consisting of one Registered Professional Engineer and one CAD Operator. For each project, a team is responsible for producing a complete set of contract documents. To ensure accuracy and completeness of the design documents, the drawings are thoroughly checked by the Senior Structural Engineer before they are released to the client. For large projects, two or more design teams are assigned to the project.
