Parking is very limited and lot of people in the top portion of the park. The beachfront area was not crowded. Surf there if you are an advanced surfer.

Waipi'o Beach is a stunning destination located at the base of Waipi'o Valley on the Big Island of Hawaii, celebrated for its dramatic black-sand shoreline and spiritual significance as the Valley of the Gods. Access to this remote beach is challenging, requiring a 4WD vehicle or a strenuous one-mile hike through breathtaking scenery and ancient landscapes.
The area is rich in cultural history, featuring sacred sites, soaring sea cliffs, and waterfalls, while its natural beauty also includes the occasional sighting of wild horses. Although swimming is not advisable due to strong rip currents, the enchanting surroundings and nearby hiking opportunities make Waipi'o Beach a beloved spot for adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike.
