Hawai'i Slam is a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing the vibrant poetic talent of the islands and managing the nationally certified First Thursdays slam poetry competition. Founded and hosted by Kealoha, Hawai'i's first Poet Laureate Emeritus, First Thursdays has gained recognition as the largest registered poetry slam in the world, attracting up to 400 attendees.
