Lovely beach park with facilities. Quiet for the most part and yes, we saw turtles not only swimming in the water, but sun bathing on the beach! Absolutely magical!

Waipi'o Beach is a striking black-sand beach located at the base of Waipi'o Valley, known as the Valley of the Gods, where towering sea cliffs rise dramatically. With its challenging access for adventurous visitors, it offers breathtaking views and nearby sacred sites, making it a spiritually significant location in Hawaii.
Accessed via a steep, narrow road or a challenging hike, Waipi'o Beach features powerful waves and strong rip currents, rendering swimming unsafe. Visitors may encounter wild horses and discover accessible waterfalls, enhancing the area's mystical charm while encouraging exploration through guided tours due to the presence of private property.
