Aloha, welcome to Island Pride Hawaii. I specialize in individually handcrafted gifts and functional art pieces made from native Hawaiian woods. Each and every piece is handmade by Kimo Kaleohano in Waimanalo, Hawaii. Because each piece is hand made, no two are exactly the same. Whether it be a wood bowl, traditional calabash, pen, bottle stopper, letter opener or poi pounder, each piece has its own unique character and beauty. I only work with woods native to the Hawaiian Islands such as Koa, Milo, Ohia, Kamani, Kou, Ohai, Iliahi, Macadamia Nut, Naio, Pheasant, Mango, Avocado, ect. I take pride in being a green artist, and only use dead, fallen, reclaimed or repurposed wood. I never cut down healthy trees or obtain stock from anyone who does. All of my pieces are functional and intended for use.
