About a 45 min drive from Honolulu and on the west side of the island. Definitely slower pace and more family friendly as there are lagoons so calmer waters and the Disney resort Aulani. There...

Not worth a 45-1hr drive over here to the hot, dry side of Oahu unless you are really bored or have a month on island. The lagoons and hotels are cool, but the only great dining is at Monkeypod.

Beautiful area on the west side of Oahu. Lush & tropical complete with white sand beaches, a lagoon and a golf course. There are great bars and eateries, along with nice shops. Highly recommend!!
