The Crystal Lake Cemetery Association, formally established in 1912, manages three cemeteries in McHenry County, focusing on providing quality service to the Crystal Lake community. Guided by a seven-member Board of Trustees, the Association is dedicated to preserving the integrity and future of these memorial grounds. Among its responsibilities, the Association took over Mt. Thabor Cemetery in the early 1970s, situated on Route 176 about four miles west of Crystal Lake. While no longer an active burial site, Mt.
