American Marketing Association

Based in Chicago, American Marketing Association is a professional association for marketers. It was formed in 1937 with the merger of the National Association of Marketing Teachers and the American Marketing Society and has more than 37,000 members worldwide. It offers individuals and organizations with the opportunity of practicing, teaching and study of marketing throughout the world. The association supports and acts as a resource for marketing information, education, knowledge sharing, development in the marketing profession and training programs. It offers various chapters on professional development, networking and events management. Its chapters also promote an understanding of marketing to the local community, educate the members and the nonmembers about marketing and its impact. American Marketing Association also offers a full program to support and assist college marketing students educationally and professionally.
