The Asia Minor and Pontos Hellenic Research Center (AMPHRC) is a historical society and non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Hellenic heritage and history of Asia Minor and Pontos. Founded in 2011, AMPHRC aims to document and disseminate information about the Greek communities of the Ottoman Empire and study the expulsion of Greeks from their ancestral homelands. With a broad perspective and interdisciplinary approach, AMPHRC collaborates with Armenian and Jewish scholars to gain a better understanding of the events of that time.

The Great Catastrophe of Hellenism, which resulted in the expulsion of Greeks after 3000 years of continuous presence in Asia Minor, Eastern Thrace, and Pontos, is a central narrative for AMPHRC. The organization seeks to preserve Greek history and honor the victims of the Ottoman genocide, while also highlighting the significant contributions of Eastern Greeks to philosophy, science, culture, and literature, which form the foundation of Western civilization today.
