Danvers Township Library in Danvers, IL is hosting their Adult Winter Reading Program, where participants have the chance to win various prizes donated by local businesses. To register, individuals simply need to be a library user, fill out a book log, and start reading. Each finished book becomes a raffle ticket for that week's prize, and there is a maximum of 5 books per week per registrant. Winners will be drawn on Fridays via a live Facebook event.
In addition to the reading program, the library is offering various events and classes throughout February. These include a free in-person class on Cricut basics, a virtual conversation with bestselling author Jerry Craft, interactive storytime and yoga for children ages 2-7, and a session on helping backyard birds during winter. There is also a free virtual event featuring romance author Julia Quinn, known for her Bridgerton series, in conversation with Sarah MacLean. Registration is required for some events, and space is limited for others.
