Rantoul Police Department
The Rantoul Gas Division oversees the repair, maintenance and construction of the village gas systems. The division offers online payment options to its customers. It also conducts inspections of gas pipes. The Rantoul Gas Division is a part of the Rantoul Public Works Department, which is responsible for the repair and maintenance of sewers. In addition, the department operates a wastewater treatment plant that treats and processes sanitary materials collected and checks compliance with state and federal standards. It is affiliated with various public utility organizations, such as the Illinois Municipal Utilities Association (ILMUA), the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA) and Illinois Public Energy Association (IPEA). The department maintains a location in Rantoul, Ill.
