Joe's Food & Liquors is a family owned business serving the community for over 30 years, with a diverse background such as the marriage that makes up the foundation of this entity. Jose Betancourt a Cuban native and Marielena Betancourt a "Paisa" from Medellin Colombia have come together to form somewhat of a melting pot for Latin Americans living in the Mid-West. What once began as a convenience store now holds an extensive and exclusive selection of authentic products from Peru, Ecuador, Mexico and Colombia; we also carry a variety of domestic labels including a great selection of imported and exported Wines, Beer and your everyday household needs. Another element that makes this a one stop kind of place is our Multi-Culture Catering Menu which consists of exquisite plates from places like Mexico, Puerto Rico and Colombia. We take great pride in being the home of the Asado Tolimense... After many years of selling the typical Lechona (from a region in Colombia called "El Tolima") we made a few changes and came up with smaller version that we renamed "Asado Tolimense".
