Jeffries who hauled grain & livestock for local farmers, while farming his ground & raising livestock. In 1970, Robert C Jeffries joined his father in running the livestock hauling business, which had grown to 3 straight trucks & 3 tractor trailers. The business had expanded into hauling livestock from local markets to many of the packing plants in the Midwest & Southeast. In 1980, the business expanded into the freight hauling market with its' first refrigerated trailer. Over the years the business shifted to primarily freight hauling & in 1996 sold the livestock trailers.
