Midway Elementary School

Midway Elementary School provides learning experiences for more than 200 students in kindergarten through grade two. It offers an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide the reading practices and helps students in improving reading abilities. The school provides academic instruction in language arts, health and physical education, music, math, science, social studies, reading, writing and life skills. Midway Elementary School has a guidance department that counsels students regarding educational needs and personal problems. In addition, the school organizes a range of art activities and field trips, as well as has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors various student events. Midway Elementary School is a part of Edwardsville School District 7 and is located in Moro, Ill.

Bethalto West Intermediate School serves more than 170 students in grades four and five. The school offers various extracurricular activities, such as field trips, band, choir and music. It provides classes in reading, writing, math, social studies and science. Bethalto West Intermediate School operates a library and media center that offers a collection of books, newspapers, magazines and reference materials to its students. In addition, the school has a cafeteria that provides nutritious meals. It additionally offers individual and group counseling services. The school has a parent-teacher organization that plans and coordinates learning programs, social activities and fundraising events. It is governed by Bethalto Community Unit School District 8 and is located in Bethalto, Ill.
