The DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer driven organization, devoted to enriching senior life. Since 1975, DSCC has been providing a variety of programs and services to help seniors live safely in their homes and provide them the opportunity to maintain their well being. As a proud member of the Meals on Wheels Association of America, DSCC is the Meals on Wheels provider for all of DuPage County.

The Illinois YMCA Youth & Government program in Downers Grove offers high school students a unique opportunity to engage deeply with the workings of Illinois government. Participants take on roles as legislators, attorneys, and press members, culminating in a three-day conference held at the Illinois Capitol and Supreme Court, where they can debate pressing issues authentic to state governance. This leadership development initiative focuses on essential skills such as civic engagement, public speaking, and self-confidence, fostering a student-led culture that develops the next generation of informed and active citizens. Through collaboration and interaction with peers from across the state, students enhance their perspectives, promoting empathy and thoughtful decision-making in a democratic society.
