Rembrandt Chamber Musicians, based in Evanston, IL, is a highly acclaimed ensemble known for their classic, engaging, and adventurous performances. With a repertoire spanning from baroque to contemporary music, their concerts feature beloved masterpieces as well as new works and hidden gems. The intimate venues and thoughtful program notes create a deep connection between the audience and the music, while complementary Encore receptions provide a relaxed setting for meeting the performers. Committed to the future of chamber music, Rembrandt actively commissions innovative new music and collaborates with performers from other artistic disciplines. Founded in 1990, the ensemble has received high praise and recognition for their expansive repertoire and has presented premieres of works by renowned composers. Rembrandt Chamber Musicians is comprised of six highly accomplished musicians, including principal members of the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Their performances have consistently garnered excellent reviews, with their infectious verve and abundance of feeling leaving a lasting impression. The ensemble is deeply committed to fostering chamber music education and appreciation, organizing the highly acclaimed Annual High School Chamber Music Competition. Winning ensembles receive cash prizes, coaching sessions, and performance opportunities, as well as participate in educational outreach projects for schools without established music programs.
