Here at The Backstreet we have just over 200 different types of liquor and over 90 different beers / seltzers / canned beverages to choose from. We have one of the largest selections of any bar in the Illinois Valley. Entering you'll be walking into a building with a beautiful custom mahogany back bar from 1903. The Backstreet has consistently been a tavern since first opening back in 1883 and even survived through The Prohibition times.

My friend and I came here on a whim. And we're big fans of chill, dive bars. This place SPOKE to us. The guy running the show, Shane, was a blast. He gave us great Rex's for other bars etc....
