Myers Center for the Eye About Dr. William G. Myers - Dr. William G. Myers has been a well respected physician on the North Shore for over 30 years. While enjoying working with patients in his private practice, he is also a faculty member at Northwestern University. He has been a faculty member at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine where he has taught and mentored residents in cataract surgery for over 30 years. He was named Teacher of the Year 3 straight years in the Northwestern Ophthalmology program.Dr Myers established a Resident Education fund at Northwestern making a major donation to promote resident learning. He has been a lead speaker at the annual Resident Phacoemulsification Course at Northwestern since its inception, giving him exposure to the other best surgical teachers in the Chicago.
