From a very early age, I knew I wanted to follow in their footsteps.Dr. Sadaf enjoyed all topics and subjects in medical school and found that family medicine was the best way to practice them all. Being in family medicine, my focus is not just on the presenting problem, but also on preventive care. I am big on educating my patients about their health conditions and treatments, informing them about age-appropriate screening exams and answering any questions, she says. Angela Miller, MD

Dr. Angela Miller’s high school experiences led to her career in medicine. “I excelled in science and enjoyed helping others through volunteer experiences.” Now, she does both as a family medicine physician. “I take care of families throughout all stages of their lives. I listen carefully to improve their physical, mental and spiritual health. I educate them on ways to improve their health, treat illnesses and injuries and improve control of their medical problems.” Dr. Miller understands that her patients’ health is holistic. “Mental and emotional health are equally as important as physical health,” she explains. Her holistic approach shapes her practice philosophy. “I want to educate and provide resources for patients to take control of improving their physical and mental health.” Dr. Miller earned her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed the residency in Family Medicine at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, IN. But the lesson that has stuck with her comes from patients. “The answer is almost always determined by listening to the patient,” she says. That’s why Dr. Miller takes time to connect with her patients. “I always have their best interest at heart.” In Her Own Words Who is or was the most influential person/role model in your life? My parents, who taught me how to love and care for others. If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased), who would it be and why? Gregory Buck, MD - Beacon Medical Group Bremen South Street

About Dr. BuckFor Dr. Gregory E. Buck, getting to know his patients is step one in providing excellent patient care. It has always been my goal to listen to each patient, he says. My patients have taught me to be humble and always think of another persons perspective. Through his more than 28 years as a Board Certified, licensed practitioner, Dr. Buck has found that much of what needs attention can be determined by what a patient tells him, directly or indirectly. My philosophy is to get to know the patient and treat him/her wholly and to help everyone achieve their health care goals in the best way possible. As a family physician, Dr. Buck sees patients with a broad range of medical issues such as diabetes, blood pressure management, infections, wounds, respiratory issues and much more. He gets to know not just individuals, but whole families, developing long-term relationships and ultimately helping patients build healthier lives.Dr. Buck studied at the Indiana University School of Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Indiana State Medical Association. For more than 20 years, he has taught medical students, nurse practitioners and residents about family medicine in a clinical setting.
