The Clerk-Treasurer's Office is responsible for keeping custody of the city's records and official seals, issuing licenses and recording the proceedings of the city council. Additionally, its areas of responsibility include recording the proceedings for the board of public works and safety and administering municipal funds. The Clerk-Treasurer's Office is also responsible for keeping minutes from all public meetings and written ordinances and resolutions that govern the community. It specializes in the collection of relief funds from the state and federal government. It is located in Greenfield, Ind., and is a part of the city offices, which have various other departments, such as police, fire, engineering and planning, street, telecommunications, and parks and recreation.
