About Dr. Foreit David Foreit, DO, is a board-certified Family Physician with extensive experience in treating neck and back disorders,and he brings a unique set of specialized skills to his role as the physician at Focused Pain Relief. Located in Downtown Highland, Indiana, Dr. Foreit provides safe, conservative options for pain relief without the use of opioids, invasive procedures, or surgery. Born in South Chicago and raised in Northwest Indiana, he graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Following college, Dr. Foreit attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1992. His postdoctoral training was completed at The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Internship and Family Practice Residency Programs from 1992 to 1995. From 1995 to 2005, Dr. Foreit was a Family Physician for St. Margaret Mercy’s Lake Ridge Clinic. Dr. Foreit worked in Occupational Medicine as the Director of Back Pain at Comprehensive Care from 2007 to 2015. In 2015 Dr. Foreit founded Focused Pain Relief in Highland, Indiana. As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Foreit aims to improve people’s overall health and wellness by treating the whole person, not just the condition they arrive with. Utilizing his training in the body’s musculoskeletal framework and extensive experience treating injury and pain conditions, Dr. Foreit is uniquely qualified to effectively treat pain without the use of invasive procedures, surgery, or opioids.
