Heartland Growers

Heartland Growers is a modern commercial greenhouse facility located in Westfield, Ind. The facility encompasses 18 acres, or 850,000 square feet of gutter-connected greenhouses. Heartland Growers is one of the most modern and capital-intensive greenhouses in Indiana. Four acres of the greenhouse have a movable table system. Many state of the art additions have been made to the facility including converting four acres of space to ebb-and-flood floor systems. The majority of the greenhouse uses an automated echo-system for the watering and growing of hanging baskets. Additionally, its newest houses incorporate ebb-and-flood floors and an automated boom watering system. Heartland Growers operates two state-of-the-art transplanting machines in its production process. In 1996 a 30,000 square foot shipping barn with eight docks was added to accommodate the increased shipping requirements.
