East Wayne Street Center

Established in 1965, the East Wayne Street Center is a nonprofit organization that focuses on enhancing the self-sufficiency skills of families and individuals in the greater Fort Wayne area in Indiana. The center s community garden project provides vegetables for area residents. It offers a range of home management classes and residential rehabilitation programs. The East Wayne Street Center s Head Start program is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. In addition, the center hosts fundraising events. It operates a food bank that serves individuals form low-income families. The East Wayne Street Center s Project SOLVE is an adult basic education program.
