Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Ji-Eun ( pronounced June ) came to the United States in the early 1990's to pursue a career in piano performance and teaching. She was graduated with a Masters of Music from Indiana University and continues her Doctor of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Two years later Ji-Eun returned to Indianapolis to pursue teaching in the private sector. To Ji-Eun, music a fundamental element of a happy, healthy life; and she wanted to work to expand the area of music through education and performance, while bringing the joy of music to as many people as possible. Her busy schedule of teaching, accompanying, and performing limited the number of students she could teach. This motivated her to found the Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy in 2004. Today JLMA has 15 instructors teaching hundreds of students in piano, voice, orchestra ( violin, viola, and cello ), guitar, drums. We are also a certified Musikgarten school ( early childhood development ) and we offer several group classes including Sing and Fun, Beginning Piano I and Beginning Piano II.
