The National Pork Board has responsibility for Checkoff-funded research, promotion and consumer information projects, as well as for communicating with pork producers and the public. Through a legislative national Pork Checkoff, pork producers invest 40 cents for each $100 value of hogs sold. Pork importers also invest a comparable amount. The Pork Checkoff funds national and state programs in advertising, consumer information, retail and food service marketing, export market promotion, production improvement, producer education, research, technology, swine health and pork safety. The National Pork Board is located in Clive, Iowa.

Membership based non-profit organization that supports REALTORS in Iowa. REALTORS subscribe to a Code of Ethics and are members of the National Association of REALTORS. IAR has over 6,200 members. IAR offers pre-licensing and continuing education real estate classes throughout the state.
