Gritters Electric Inc was founded in 1972 by Frank & Revena Gritters. Frank started his career as a lineman for the Pella REC. In 1972, he decided to start his own company. The first call was to fix an oven door, hardly an electrical problem, but starting out, you will accept any work. That first call still defines Gritters Electric today. We are a very diversified company and will tackle most any project or repair need. Our projects range from large industrial accounts to small electrical problems, large buildings to small bathroom remodels. Our electrical repair shop has fixed most anything from large industrial motors to an old pinball machine. In line with the oven door, we recently fixed a broken leg on an old card table ( broken in a heated game of bridge ). Through the years, Gritters Electric has grown from a one man company to an organization of 17 people. Size of the business and projects have changed, but our dedication to each and every customer has never changed. In 1999, after several years of hard work, Frank and Revena decided to retire ( semi-retire that is ) and they sold their business to their son and his wife, Dave & Cindy Gritters. Other than ownership and crew size, Gritters Electric is still the same small town, family owned business that was started in 1972. Gritters Electric was founded on a strong work ethic and anchored by a solid Christian faith and we continue to hold to those beliefs and values today.
