Wandering across western Kansas, I happened upon this incredible piece of machinery. Operated from 1963-1974, this is still the largest electric shovel in the world with a 90 cubic yard bucket....

So cool, even for people who aren't machinery buffs. It was definitely worth driving out of our way to see!
