The striking "White Buffalo" sculpture outside offers an inkling of the interesting exhibits inside this museum, including a steam locomotive, a Southern Cheyenne teepee, one of the largest collections of prairie memorabilia in the U.S. and a hands-on children's area. Admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for children aged 2-17. Admission includes admittance to the discovery place.

This sucks. 80% poster boards. Very few actual items being displayed. So much better when downtown. Moved west and quality declined severely. Completely redone and so much worse once again....

Much enjoyment was had this morning with over two hours of exploring the various artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of Kansas. Lots to see including the "one from every county" exhibit...

Very neat museum that tells the story of WWII events in Europe and Pacific. Settlers days in Kansas as well as many restaurant chains that started up in KS. Definitely worth the trip.
