Matthew R Sharpe, MD

Dr. Joel Mermis is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subcertifications in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine. He completed a fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Florence Hosseini-Aslinia is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She completed a fellowship at the Marshfield Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed her residency at Harbor Hospital Center. Dr. Aslinia specializes in the diagnosis and management of digestive diseases. Her clinical and research focus is on inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease, microscopic colitis, ulcerative colitis and celiac disease. She provides care at the Medical Pavilion located on The University of Kansas Health System's main campus and within the IBD multidisciplinary clinic at our Indian Creek Campus in Overland Park, Kansas.

Dr. Sahar Safavi earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
