Newton High School

Newton High School offers education to students in grades nine through 12. Located in Newton, Kan., the school offers a variety of subjects, such as English, speech, communications, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. It also offers computer technology, fine arts and electives. Newton High School provides various technology classes, including beginning journalism, forensics, art basics, theater, music courses and building trades. The school also offers classes in technical theatre, broadcast journalism, broadcast production, home interior designing, fashion strategies, creative sewing and machine technology. It offers application-based curriculum, such as woodworking, engineering, drafting technology, Web page designing, desktop publishing, prevocational welding and welding technology. The school provides various sports, including hockey, volleyball, football, soccer and swimming to students.
