Founded in 1946, Gates Bar-B-Q is one of the original restaurants that made Kansas City, Mo., famous for its barbecue. Operating from six restaurant locations, Gates serves ribs by the tray, meat by the pound and a variety of sandwiches. The restaurant also offers catering for wedding receptions, birthday parties and large private gatherings.
