Ryan Krupp, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Norton Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in the treatment of shoulder conditions in adults and children, performing a wide array of shoulder procedures, including complex shoulder reconstruction, rotator cuff surgery, instability operations and other sports-related procedures. Dr. Krupp earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency training. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Spartanburg, South Carolina.Dr. Krupps mission is to provide top-quality, patient-centered care in the areas of sports medicine and complex shoulder reconstruction. He is actively involved in research focused on developing cutting-edge technologies and rehabilitation for current patients, as well as working to improve care for years to come. He is part of a design team bringing forth the next generation of orthopedic innovations, including the latest evolution of stemless total shoulder implants, robotic-assisted shoulder replacement surgery and the use of mixed reality in these surgeries.In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Krupp serves as the executive medical director of orthopedics and the director of sports health and shoulder reconstruction for Norton Healthcare. In that role, he leads Norton Healthcare initiatives to improve the care of athletes in Louisville and surrounding areas with programs such as injury-prevention education, clinical research, Saturday Sports Injury Clinics, certified athletic trainer education, athletic event coverage and community partnerships. Dr. Krupp currently serves as team physician for numerous athletic programs in Louisville, including Bellarmine University, Eastern High School and Kentucky Country Day School.Outside of work, Dr. Krupp enjoys spending time with his family, participating in a wide array of sporting activities, working out and traveling.

Josh Meier, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in pediatric orthopedics. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, then completed a general orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Meier completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery and scoliosis at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. In addition to offering a full range of orthopedic services for children, Dr. Meier has special interests in scoliosis, trauma and limb deformities. His mission is to provide top-quality care for a wide range of children’s orthopedic conditions, from simple to complex. Dr. Meier’s treatment approach includes keeping the medical environment as kid-friendly as possible. He also strongly believes in involving family members in their child’s care. Dr. Meier is on staff at Norton Children’s Hospital and has a clinical faculty appointment with the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He also serves as a staff physician for the Kentucky Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs. Away from the office Dr. Meier enjoys playing golf and softball as well as spending time with his family. Dr. Meier also enjoys traveling for mission work, providing pediatric orthopedic care for international charities such as Healing the Children. His travels have taken him to Colombia, Ecuador and, most recently, Haiti following the 2010 earthquake.

Kelly A. Jenkins, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with Norton Children’s Orthopedics of Louisville. She earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her residency at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, and her combined fellowship at Cleveland Clinic and Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio. Dr. Jenkins cares for patients from birth to adulthood with the goal of getting the patient back to daily activities in the quickest and safest way possible. One of her favorite reasons she enjoys providing care for children is working with their families and participating in shared decision-making so families feel confident in the chosen treatment plan. In her spare time, Dr. Jenkins enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, a black lab. They like to go on hikes and walks, and play golf as much as they can.
