The Kentucky School Boards Association, also known as KSBA, is a private, nonprofit service organization comprising more than 900 members of Kentucky s local boards of education. KSBA is one of the largest organizations of elected officials in Kentucky. The association provides advocacy, consultation, information, professional development and district support services for local school board and staff members and various districts. It works toward building student support partnerships between schools and the community. Kentucky School Boards Insurance Trust insures Kentucky s schools and offers various self-insured programs, including school-focused workers compensation, property, vehicle, general and educators legal liability, unemployment insurance coverage and a KSBA-endorsed student accident coverage. Established in 1936, the Kentucky School Boards Association is located in Frankfort, Ky.
