Joshua A. L. Spear, M.D., MBA, is a neurosurgeon with Norton Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Spear earned his medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he also completed a Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training (CAST)-accredited complex spine fellowship with a focus on deformity correction. Dr. Spear also holds a Master of Business Administration degree, concentrating in financial management, health care management technology and innovation, and public and private sector leadership, from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Baltimore, Maryland.Dr. Spear is dedicated to advancing the field of neurosurgery through his commitment to clinical excellence, innovative research and leadership in health care.Outside of his professional life, he enjoys weightlifting, spending quality time with his family, and watching movies.
