The New Life Center

Salt River Electric, formerly known as Salt River Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, is a member-owned electric utility that serves more than 46,000 members in over 10 counties in Kentucky. Established in 1937, it offers a range of services related to budget billing, energy audit and conservation, and industrial and economic development. Salt River Electric provides temporary electric rental services for construction of homes and businesses. It offers electrostatic filters that remove pollen, dust and other airborne pollutants from the air through central heating and cooling systems. The utility also educates its members about electric safety and provides safety demonstrations to various schools and civic organizations. Salt River Electric is a part of Touchstone Energy, which is a national alliance of nearly 660 local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives.
