King County Search and Rescue Association, founded in 1965, is a non-profit volunteer group dedicated to promoting cooperation between its nine member units in order to provide essential search and rescue services in the King County area. Their specialized units, including the Pacific Northwest Trackers Association and Seattle Mountain Rescue, work together to conduct wilderness rescues, urban missing persons searches, and disaster response operations.

Deployed by the King County Sheriff's Office, the volunteers of KCSARA are registered Emergency Workers with the Washington State Department of Emergency Management. Committed to saving lives, they never charge for their services and rely on donations and grants to continue their life-saving mission of bringing loved ones back to their families.
