She earned her Bachelor of Science in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida and earned her medical degree from the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. She then completed her pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami. Dr. Castro brings a warm, compassionate approach to pediatric medicine. She is shaped by her vibrant upbringing in South Florida and her commitment to supporting families through every stage of childhood.

Gabriella Ortiz, LCSW, specializes in mental health counseling at Ochsner Health.

Corey P. Falcon, MD, specializes pediatric hematology oncology at Ochsner Health. They have a focus in pediatric cancers like brain cancers, kidney cancers, leukemia and other blood cancers, liver cancer, lymphoma, neuroblastoma, osteosarcoma and sarcoma. They coordinate treatments that include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
