The Family Court of East Baton Rouge Parish, located on the fourth floor of the Nineteenth Judicial District Courthouse in downtown Baton Rouge, is presided over by four judges. This court handles a range of matters, including divorces, community property divisions, spousal support, child custody, visitation rights, and domestic violence cases.

To assist those representing themselves, the Family Court provides a Self Help Resource Center for individuals who may not be able to afford an attorney or qualify for free legal services. The court is also committed to ensuring language access and reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities wishing to attend court proceedings.
