John M. Carter, MD

John Carter, MD, is the system chair of Otolaryngology and specializes in pediatric otolaryngology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Carter’s clinical interests are evaluating and treating pediatric patients with airway narrowing, noisy and/or difficulty breathing, and he has expertise in endoscopic airway surgery and open airway reconstruction. Dr. Carter also treats children with difficulty breathing in sleep and offers sleep endoscopy for those children with complex sleep issues. He has a special interest in the management of children with thyroid masses and cancer.
