Serving Central Louisiana since 1949, our goal has always been quality and comprehensive care of the musculoskeletal system. The Clinic was founded in 1949 by T.E. Banks, Jr., MD and P.M. Davis, Jr., MD, as the Banks-Davis Orthopaedic Clinic. Since then, the clinic name has changed twice, to Alexandria Orthopaedic Clinic in 1971, then to MID STATE Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center in 1997. All of our physicians are either board-certified or board-eligible, and our specialists include orthopaedic surgeons, podiatrists and surgeons with fellowship training in sports medicine. We treat the entire musculoskeletal system and develop long-standing personal relationships with our patients and their families.
