St Charles Parish Sheriff

The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office is a full-service law enforcement agency that protects and serves the citizens of Iberville Parish, La. It maintains a civil division that keeps a track of the office budget, employee payroll and insurance; oversees sheriff's sales and wage garnishments; processes legal documents for service; and issues purchase orders for official spending. The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office also maintains a juvenile division that offers services for the protection and preservation of children. The office supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the usage of illegal drugs, gang activities and violent behavior. In addition, it works closely with the school board, district attorney and judges to provide an in-school and suspension-on-site program, an alternative school for at-risk students, a monthly local-access cable television crime prevention and training show that reaches nearly 17,000 homes, and oversees a state-of-the-art prison and juvenile detention facility.
