Established in 1966, The Historic New Orleans Collection is a museum, research center and publisher that preserve history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South region. Located in New Orleans, La., it operates a museum, which includes the Williams gallery and the Louisiana history galleries. Very interesting museum and it was free admission although donations are welcome. Located right in the French Quarter it is housed in a previous residence, a nice one at that. Worth a visit.
