HistoryThe agency was started in May 1981 with no clients in a rented room at Atlantic Place in South Portland. Ms. Henderson had a background working for a Portland Maine Insurance Agency. At age 45, with four children, she knew it was now or never to start her own business. It grew gradually and she obtained her own rented suite in Atlantic Place, South Portland. In 1987, she noticed a very run down house on Broadway in South Portland that she thought would be an excellent location, but it took many months to pursuade the owner to sell. The property was completely gutted out and done all over with the help of the Maine Savings Bank. An open house was held in 1988. In 1992, her youngest son Robert Henderson joined the business and is now the managing agent and vice president.SpecialtiesWe sell Auto, Home, & Life Insurance through companies such as Progressive, Dairyland, Foremost, Norfolk & Dedham, and Patrons Oxford Insurance Companies.
