Jagriti ‘Jackie’ Bhattarai, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and researcher studying racial disparities in multiple sclerosis care. Her research explores how the overall health care experience and health outcomes can be different for historically underserved populations, such as African Americans. Dr. Bhattarai is looking to understand why and how factors such as a person’s neighborhood or income can influence the relationship with a doctor and the care received. Dr. Bhattarai is an assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a former multiple sclerosis research fellow.

Dr. Akila Viswanathan is a prominent figure in radiation oncology and serves as the Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. With a focus on gynecologic cancers, including cervical and uterine cancers, she leads clinical care, research, and educational initiatives while overseeing numerous innovations across various Johns Hopkins sites. Dr. Viswanathan is widely recognized for her expertise and contributions, having published over 200 articles and books in the field. She has received multiple accolades, including being named one of America's Top Doctors, and is actively involved in prestigious organizations such as the American Brachytherapy Society and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.
