The Central Maryland Ecumenical Council (CMEC) is a Christian community dedicated to promoting peace, justice, sustainability, and equality. By advocating for environmental, racial, social, and economic issues, CMEC strives to affirm the inherent dignity of all individuals, regardless of their background.

Through programs and initiatives such as the Baltimore Peacebuilders and Nonviolence Fundamentals Training, CMEC actively works to make the concept of the Beloved Community both visible and tangible.
