Dr. Andrew H. Hughes is a distinguished healthcare leader with over 13 years of experience in various facets of the healthcare industry. His expertise spans health system utilization management, regulatory compliance, clinical and financial analytics, quality improvement, electronic health record workflow design, and health plan leadership. Dr. Hughes is dedicated to guiding healthcare organizations to deliver exceptional care while ensuring optimal financial performance and regulatory adherence.Since 2021, Dr. Hughes has served as the Senior Physician Advisor for Care Coordination and Clinical Resource Management at both the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. In this role, he collaborates closely with executive teams to lead teams of physician advisors, ensuring medical necessity and regulatory compliance. He also spearheads initiatives to enhance care coordination and resource management across these institutions, which collectively manage over 1,400 inpatient beds and more than 54,000 discharges annually.Dr. Hughes holds an M.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors, including Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa. His postdoctoral training includes a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as Health Systems Management. His professional journey includes significant roles such as Assistant Chief of Service for the Osler Residency Training Program, Medical Director at Johns Hopkins HealthCare LLC, and academic appointments at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.In addition to his leadership roles, Dr. Hughes is actively involved in research focused on hospital resource utilization, length of stay, and care coordination. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, contributing valuable insights to the field of healthcare management. Dr. Hughes continues to mentor emerging leaders and collaborate on system innovation and quality improvement projects within Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Dr. Chatterjee is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician. He is an expert in the practice of critical care medicine and has worked in diverse medical and surgical critical care units. His focus is on medical education, diagnostic reasoning, and procedural and simulation training for the intensivist.

Dr. Chen practices Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. His primary area of interest is sarcoidosis, and he has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sarcoidosis in all of its forms, and the management of consequences of this systemic disease.The Sarcoidosis Clinic often serves to coordinate management of patients with multi-organ involvement with sarcoidosis, and to this end Dr. Chen actively maintains clinical and research collaborations with Cardiology, Cardiovascular Nuclear Medicine, Neurology, and Ophthalmology.Additionally, Dr. Chen participates as a Physician Champion in the Johns Hopkins Health System Epic project to improve the safety and quality of care of critically ill patients through optimization of the electronic medical record. His work involves developing systems-based approaches to complex management issues, including sepsis and severe alcohol withdrawal.
