Dr. Pousson's main research interests are exploring strategies for making emergency medicine learning accessible for all as well as the ways that, through education and training, emergency medicine practitioners can become a first-order determinant of improved patient outcomes, at all healthcare system levels and in both resource-rich and resource-restricted settings. She has specific interests in emerging infectious disease, medical education using simulation and flipped classroom models and evidence-based emergency medical provider training.
