Indira Ranaweera, MD

Indira Ranaweera, M.D., is a gynecology and obstetrics physician with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Her areas of interest include family planning, PCOS, gender affirming care, contraception counseling and menopause. She enjoys caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and through different life stages. Dr. Ranaweera likes to empower her patients by providing them with guidance to take ownership of their health. She enjoys teaching her patients about primary prevention and how to improve their health by getting back-to-basics, such as eating nutritious food and daily movement. Dr. Ranaweera grew up in Tampa, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, yoga, baking, traveling and trying new activities.
