He was also awarded the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology Teacher of the Year Award. He is a core member of the hepatobiliary anesthesia team, performing complex hepatobiliary procedures on a regular basis. He also serves as a phone consultant for the Malignant Hyperthermia Hotline.Dr. Berman has a special interest in cardiac disease in pregnancy and the use of peripartum and perioperative echocardiography.
