As the largest and most experienced pediatric and young adult sports medicine practice in the country, the Sports Medicine Division at Boston Children's Hospital leads the way for innovation in the prevention and care of sports injuries. We work with athletes of all ages and abilities to help them train and compete at their best. For any injured athlete, getting healthy and returning to their sport is a top priority. Our interdisciplinary team understands that. Many of us are athletes and recognize the importance of sports and physical activity in an athlete's life. Established in 1972, the Mattapan Community Health Center, also known as MCHC offers a variety of health care services. It specializes in the areas of family medicine, pediatrics, occupational therapy, neurology, oncology and podiatry. The center operates through various specialty units, including urology, ophthalmology, obstetrics, gynecology and cardiology. It provides wound care, rehabilitative screening, fall prevention, restraint reduction, restorative nursing and contracture management services. The Mattapan Community Health Center additionally offers ear piercing, electrocardiogram testing and genetic counseling services. The center manages a staff of physicians, budget analysts, nurses, technicians and support personnel. Mattapan Community Health Center is located in Mattapan, Mass.
